He's Five Years Older Than Me

I've been looking forward to celebrate with him his 31st birthday.A little bit sad because I can't be there personally to attend his special day because of some reasons. So instead of dwelling much on this frustration, I thought of sending him this message plus a collage of his pictures which I posted in his FB account with the help of course of my good friend, Hero. Happy because I made him smile. 

There is no one I could compare to the man I've met a year ago. you had more doubts and I was the one who was much more certain. Many times you've pushed me away and I kept on coming back to you. There were times when I've decided to give up on chasing after you and just stop making you believe that this could be love that we have. You were someone who's so afraid to take the risk. You were always on the safe side. While I was the one who bravely accepted the challenge of making you believe that this is worth trying. And when I was about to give up, you pulled me back into your arms.Because you know I can't do this all alone. And now we're willing to take the risk.This is true love indeed and this is worth fighting for.

He's really not the typical boyfriend who would send me roses and chocolates. He's not even my dream boyfriend but he has his own unique ways of showing me genuine love. The day I finally fell in love with him is also the day i decided that I will never let go of this man. He has accepted me for who I am in spite and despite of all my imperfections. He made me feel that I am lovable just the way I am. He knows me inside out. When I'm silent he knows that I'm not really okay and he knows if I'm lying or not. He doesn't always say sorry but he exerts extra effort to make me feel that he's sorry. Although at times he can really be insensitive and inconsistent but I still love all his imperfections. It's his being a true person that really made me attracted to him. He's not the typical best-foot-forward-guy so you'll know that every time he tells you something sweet, you know it really comes from his heart.
